Collingwood forward Brody Mihocek is set to re-sign with the club on a three-year deal, according to The Herald Sun's Jay Clark.

Amid interest from Fremantle, it is believed that the 27-year old could take more money to leave the Magpies.

But in a major coup for the black and white, Mihocek is reportedly set to put pen to paper on a reduced contract with a fourth year trigger.

The former Port Melbourne player has been a revelation in Collingwood's forward line since joining the club in 2018, booting 90 goals from 58 games across three seasons.

He led the Pies' goalkicking in 2020, kicking 25 goals from 18 appearances.

In what shapes as a defining off-season for Collingwood, Jordan De Goey remains unsigned for 2020, while Adam Treloar, Tom Phillips, Mason Cox and Jaidyn Stephenson have all been linked to trade talks.

The Magpies are trying to manage a tight salary cap, yet coach Nathan Buckley said in his post-season presser that the club wanted to be 'aggressive' during the trade period.

The AFL trade period runs from November 4-12.
