Jamie Elliott has suffered an ACL rupture.

The news was confirmed on Sunday afternoon after he got scans earlier in the day.

Nick Daicos was also in for scans on his foot after it was stepped on in the match, which resulted in him briefly going down to the rooms during the game.

The 33-year-old Elliott is contracted for next season, but the injury will cast some doubt over his future given he likely would not return until the second half of next season.

The diagnosis would allow Collingwood to open up a third spot for the Mid-Season Draft, having scouted widely in the last week for a ruck to replace Oscar Steene, who himself ruptured an ACL against Sydney.

The Magpies are expected to take at least two players at Tuesday's intake.

The Pies had all but secured a game-winning lead when Elliott took a mark inside 50 and landed awkwardly on his left knee.

Speaking on Channel 9 earlier on Sunday, Elliott remained unsure of the diagnosis.

“We'll find out a little bit later today. I don't really know yet,” Elliott said.

”It's a little bit tender now, pain relief wore off pretty quick last night, I think pain's a good thing so we'll see.”

He was stretchered off and in visible pain.

Elliott kicked two goals in a minute in the third quarter to help turn momentum Collingwood's way in Scott Pendlebury's record-breaking game.
The injury followed captain Darcy Moore being ruled out of the game at half-time with a hamstring injury suffered in a ruck contest.

Small forward Will Hayes also failed to play out the game, injuring a shoulder in a marking contest earlier in the fourth term.

The small forward kicked 60 goals in a career-best 2025 and has remained an integral performer for the Pies this season, particularly late in games.
