Melbourne youngster Clayton Oliver was floored by a hit from West Coast's Will Schofield during the Demons' shock win at Domain Stadium last night.
Schofield was reported, however, footage of the incident appeared to show Schofield make contact with Oliver's shoulder, rather than his face, despite Oliver going down holding his mouth.
Oliver received plenty of criticism for what many perceived to be a dive.
Even former Test cricketer, Damien Martyn, chimed in social media.
"Am I watching soccer?" Martyn wrote in reference to Oliver going down easily.
But Oliver refused to let Martyn have the final say, replying with a dig of his own.
"Hey Damien, you should just worry about that shot in 1994. Link if you can't remember #amiwatchingachoker," Oliver wrote.
The link Oliver posted on Twitter was to vision of Martyn being dismissed in a Test match against South Africa in 1994, which Australia eventually lost.
