Wantaway Carlton star Charlie Curnow has spoken on a potential move to Sydney, having met with the Swans on Monday night, while Carlton's own play for a Geelong young gun has been revealed.

Curnow was pictured with Swans coach Dean Cox at Moore Park on Monday afternoon ahead of a wider discussion with the club's key figures over a desired partnership.

The Blues are yet to be appeased in any trade talk regarding Curnow, who has four years to run on a contract.

Recent reports have revealed that Swans pair Will Hayward and Ollie Florent could be traded to Carlton, who may also pocket a pair of first-round picks in a deal that sees them part ways with their two-time Coleman Medal winner.

Speaking to media outside of Swans HQ, Curnow said there was still some uncertainty around his ideal Blues departure.

"There's a fair bit to play out, so I'm not too sure, we'll see what happens. It'd be good," he said.

"I'm just having a look around and we'll see what happens. It's been nice to get up here."

Curnow has also earned the interest of Geelong, who are seen as an outside chance to land the key forward after having their offer of three first-round picks shot down by the Blues.

According to The Age, Carlton had a bid of their own rejected, with the Blues asking the Cats if second-year defender Connor O'Sullivan could be part of a package that saw Curnow head the other way to Kardinia Park.

The publication's report reveals that Geelong rebuffed the Blues' play for the young tall, who finished top five in this year's Rising Star voting following a 25-game season.

Geelong are unlikely to have a player packaged into a deal for Curnow, making their prospects of luring the Geelong Falcons product to the club unlikely.

Should the Swans get the green light from Hayward and Florent to be traded to Princes Park, Carlton could be swayed into agreeing to a deal that sees Curnow leave the club after a decade in the navy blue.

A deal will need to be struck over the next 36 hours, with the trade period deadline set for 7:30pm (AEDT) on Wednesday.
