Josh Fraser has officially nominated for the full-time head coaching position at the Carlton Blues, ending months of speculation as to whether or not he'd consider taking on the mantle.
The Blues are 10-2 since Fraser took over from the departed Michael Voss, with every win adding credence to the calls from increasingly rowdy corners of the Carlton cacophany.
Those calls came to a head during Sunday night's victory over the Saints, with the faithful heard chanting "we want Fraser" during the contest's dying embers.
The former Collingwood Magpie and Gold Coast Sun has heeded the call, and will present to Blues hierarchy in an attempt to become the latest caretaker coach to receive the full-time role at IKON Park.
"Frase" has cleaned up the side's disposal, galvanised a disenfranchised supporter base, and has a club that was 1-8 at the time of his appointment miraculously poised to feature in September.
Players and pundits alike have been pushing for Fraser, a man whose public messaging and authentic demeanour have garnered him legions of fans the league over, to take this step, with the jungle drums finally becoming too loud for the grizzled former ruckman to ignore.
Even before his nomination was confirmed, many across the landscape, including Channel 7's Mitch Cleary, had him leading the race for the top job.

Only the ladder-leading Fremantle Dockers have won more games than the Blues in the 12-game span since Fraser took the reins.
