Carlton interim coach Josh Fraser has confirmed he will make the call about whether to join the club process this week.
More momentum for Fraser to assume the senior coaching role hit fever pitch after the Blues stormed to a 44-point win over St Kilda, putting them in the box seat to claim a surprise Wildcard Round spot.
"We want Fraser" echoed through Marvel Stadium in the Sunday evening clash, which remarkably followed Carlton's 10th victory after 12 starts following Michael Voss' departure.
The Blues claimed the double, with the women's team kicking off their AFLW campaign with a curtain-raiser win.

“My preference tonight is not to make it about me, if possible. And the reason I say that is that it's a terrific night for our footy club. Our AFLW girls got a win tonight and you see the work that they put in consistently. And on field it was another step forward for our playing group.
“I do appreciate the questions around me, but right now I feel a lot of gratitude for the people that surround me.
“I think a lot of the credit around tonight's performance should be shared.”
When pressed, Fraser continued to keep his eyes solely focused on the prize.
"(It's) not about daring to dream; I think the thing that's taking us forward is we are just attaching ourselves to the work that we need to do," Fraser said.
"It's the consistency we're trying to build, and it's been about managing momentum when we don't have it, and managing momentum when we do. But also, the connection piece on the field, I think, has been really important to us, and part of that's getting your job done, but part of that's helping someone else to get their job done, and I think that's another space where we're growing."
Vice-captain Jacob Weitering will push his case to return to the AFL side next week against the Western Bulldogs after making his comeback from a calf injury via the VFL.
Weitering got through the game unscathed, finishing with 12 marks and 19 disposals in the reserves loss.
The Blues sit inside the top 10 but have a difficult fortnight ahead to close out the season. The Bulldogs and Fremantle are under the lid at the Docklands to come. A win will lock away a finals spot, but a pair of losses opens the door for the Saints to swoop.
