Carlton has an open mind for who will be the club's senior coach in 2027.

After Michael Voss was sacked following Round 9, the Blues have gone on a 5-0 win streak under interim coach Josh Fraser. But the latter has ruled himself out of the race for the senior coach position.

Carlton general manager of football, Chris Davies, said he will meet with his senior coach selection committee, made up of Graham Wright (CEO), Rob Priestley (President) and Adam Simpson in the coming weeks.

"I think we should be sorting this out by the end of the minor rounds," Davies told the 3AW broadcast on Saturday.

"We will start to kick off the process in earnest over the next couple of weeks. Once that takes place, I'm sure we will work relatively quickly from there.

"We haven't really started the catch-ups with potential candidates yet. We have definitely put our list together. That will start over the next fortnight.

"We are not committed to a young coach or a person with experience; what we want is the best person, and I'm sure they will show themselves over the next period of time.

"What we are trying to do is not overrate the last four or five weeks. We know that we still have some issues that need to be sorted out longer term. I think the depth on our list isn't quite where I would like it be.

"Whoever comes into our role, whether they've got experience or not, is going to have to know that they are coming into a job and a list that's going to require some development into the future."

Meanwhile, Davies also gave an update on the health of Elijah Hollands, who earlier in the season stepped away from the game to focus on his mental health.

"Elijah is still focusing on his own well-being," he said. "The club is supporting him as much as we possibly can, and I'm glad to see he is taking some steps forward.

"I think (Hollands playing at any level in 2026) would be a challenge given where the season is at and the time he has had away from the club, but definitely don't want to put a ceiling on that yet. Our primary concern with Elijah at the moment is his care, and that will continue to be the case."

Hollands hasn't played at the AFL or VFL level since Round 6.
