Former West Coast coach Adam Simpson has ruled himself out of the Carlton job.
Simpson, who has been linked with the Blues following Michael Voss' departure due to his part-time role at Ikon Park, said previously he wouldn't put his hand up for the gig.
Now, he's removed any doubt that he won't don the navy blue.
"I'm not going to put my hand up for any type of role with Carlton, from a coaching point of view," Simpson said on AFL360.
"I think I said it last week, really. It's difficult when you're working at the club and mentoring someone.
"It doesn't feel right!"

"It doesn't feel right.
"So, people can stop asking me questions on it, I take myself out of contention."
Former Sydney coach John Longmire has yet to rule himself out of the race.
Longmire, a premiership coach with the Swans, left the club at the end of 2024 but remained at the club in an off-field role.
"It's not a simple yes or no answer. It's not about that," Longmire said last week.
"For me, these things tend to become clear over a period of time. I'm happy to let that time play out.
"I understand the questioning and I understand there's a bit of interest in it.
"But I'm not in the position at the moment in my own head to ascertain whether it's a yes or no. I really don't think it's appropriate for me to say that if I don't feel I'm ready to answer that."
