Caleb Marchbank has inked a new one-year deal to remain a Blue, now contracted to the club until at least the conclusion of the 2023 season.

Marchbank played just four games at senior level throughout 2022, making his return to football after more than 1,000 days on the sidelines.

Head of list management at the Blues, Nick Austin, said Marchbank continued to impress at the club with his resilience and commitment.

“Caleb’s resilience has resonated not only within the four walls of the Club, but with the AFL community as a whole,” Austin said.

“It was fantastic to see him step back into the senior side this year after over 1,000 days away and he immediately proved how valuable he is in the backline.

“We are invested in Caleb’s development and have seen first-hand how committed he is. He has proven that when fit he is an integral member of the side and we’re looking forward to seeing his progression continue over the next year at Carlton.”
