Port Adelaide have confirmed star ruckman Paddy Ryder will miss the next 4-6 weeks with Achilles tendonitis.

The 2017 All-Australian ruckman went down with the injury during the Power's 50-point win over Fremantle on Saturday, and will now spend at least the next month on the sidelines.

Port Adelaide will need to turn to swingmen in order to fill the ruck position, given both Jackson Trengove and Matthew Lobbe left the club at season's end last year.
