Blues youngster Jack Carroll has extended his contract at Carlton for a further two years.

Carroll, drafted by Carlton in the 2020 AFL Draft, has made a name for himself in his short tenure at Princes Park for his midfield craft and composure, but is yet to make a debut in the AFL.

Carroll enjoyed a strong start in the VFL in his first season with the Blues, with Carlton Head of List Management Nick Austin expressing his delight in having the 19-year-old extend until 2024.

"Jack is performing well in the VFL and we couldn’t be happier with his progression since joining our club," Austin said, vias the club's announcement.

“He is constantly striving to be better, working with the coaches to achieve maximum results on and off the field and his work rate is second to none.

“We are pleased that Jack will continue his growth as a Carlton player over the next two years and look forward to seeing what he can achieve in that time.”

Carroll has his pre-season hampered by a calf complaint, with injury seeing him miss the Blues reserves' season opener against Brisbane last week.

The retention of Carroll adds to this week's news of Blues pair Corey Durdin and Alex Mirkov signing on until the end of 2024.
