Carlton rookie Luke Parks will make his AFL debut in Sunday's clash against Fremantle.

Parks, who turns 20 in a fortnight, was drafted to the club out Glenelg in the 2021 Rookie Draft and gets his opportunity just two rounds into the AFL season.

The Blues confirmed Parks had gotten the call up in a statement on Thursday morning after some standout performances in the VFL practice matches.

The intercept defender is originally from New South Wales but relocated to South Australia in 2020 with hopes of getting on an AFL list.

A former member of the Sydney Swans academy, he becomes Carlton's fourth club debutant this year, joining trade acquisitions Adam Saad, Zac Williams and Lachie Fogarty.

For the Fantasy players in the house - Parks is a $170,000 defender in AFL Fantasy and $102,400 defender in SuperCoach.

The Blues will be looking to get their first win on the board in 2021 when they meet the Dockers at Marvel Stadium on Sunday at 3.20pm AEDT.
