Hemisphere Management Group has been fined $10,000 for holding a training session involving unsigned AFL prospects.

The fine is the highest possible punishment that's able to be handed out, with none of the $10,000 being suspended.

Player agents are not allowed under any circumstance to contact players or parents until October 1 of their 16th year, and players are unable to officially sign until their respective draft year.

The illegal session was run by Hemisphere's Anthony Phillips, father of ex-AFL player Ed and Hawthorn-listed Tom.

"The Agent Accreditation Board (AAB) has found Accredited Player Agents representing Hemisphere Management Group to be in breach of Clause 4.1 and Clause 8 of the Agents’ Code of Conduct, and has accordingly issued the company with a sanction of $10,000," An AFLPA statement reads.

"The AAB found that Hemisphere had facilitated and overseen a football training session which included players that had not yet signed with any management company, several of whom were also under the prescribed age of approach.

“We had the best of intentions and were focused on the development of the players, but we have worked through this with the AFLPA and fully accept the decision handed down”, Alex McDonald of Hemisphere told AFL Media on Thursday.

Hemisphere have potential No.1 Draft Pick Will Ashcroft on their books ahead of the National AFL Draft this November.
