Jed Walter has gone back-to-back in the AFL Grand Final sprint.
Walter raised his arms in the air and celebrated with 10 metres to go as he broke away from the pack in a repeat of the 2025 result.
His local club, Palm Beach-Currumbin, will receive a $5000 donation as a reward.
It's the first time there has been back-to-back winner since Patrick Dangerfield since 2011-12.
He finished ahead of Hawthorn's Jarman Impey and Tasmania's Brandon Leary, the latter of whom challenged him early.
The field also included Carlton's Ollie Florent, North Melbourne's Luke Davies-Uniacke, Port Adelaide's Aliir Aliir, Western Bulldogs' Arty Jones and West Coast's Willem Duursma.
The sprint has lost some of its lustre in recent years, with only seven racers taking part this year, one of which was VFL-listed Leary at the Devils.
Unlike previous years, heats were not held pre-game before culminating in the final.
