The Western Bulldogs are "interested" in Collingwood star Adam Treloar, reports 7 News' Tom Browne.

Much conjecture has been made around the gun ball winner's future as the Magpies reportedly look to trade him.

Collingwood are reportedly actively trying to offload Treloar’s lucrative back-ended contract until 2025 to a rival club despite the 27-year old’s preference to stay a Magpie.

However, the Bulldogs' interest is linked to Josh Dunkley's potential exit from the club - which could open up the necessary cap space to accommodate for Treloar.

The Saints are also believed to have interest in Treloar but have already conceded it is unlikely he will be at the club in 2021, having just signed Brad Crouch to a four-year deal worth around $700,000 per season.

Fellow Magpies Jaidyn Stephenson, Tom Phillips and Mason Cox have also been linked moves, while Jordan De Goey remains unsigned for next season.

The AFL trade period ends on Thursday night at 7.30pm AEST.
