The Gold Coast Suns are remaining persistent in their hunt for Collingwood star Adam Treloar, per The Herald Sun.

The Suns could be willing to offer pick 5 in the upcoming draft for the Magpies midfielder, who has expressed his desire to remain at the Holden Centre for 2021.

The Magpies are battling for salary cap space as they look to lock away star forward Jordan De Goey to a two-year deal.

A potential move north for Treloar would open up significant salary space for Collingwood and would end a number of lingering list issues at the club.

Tom Phillips, Rupert Wills and Brody Mihocek join De Goey in awaiting a contract for next season, with the Magpies looking to hold off rival clubs.

It is also understood that Mason Cox has gained some interest from Sydney, with the Swans aiming to add some height to their lineup for 2021.

Treloar's partner and Netball star Kimmy Ravaillion will move to Queensland for her career.

The Suns are chasing their first finals berth in their existence, hoping to add some experienced talent to boost their chances of a top eight finish.
