Geelong's asking price for wanted speedster Jordan Clark is reportedly placed between Fremantle's first and second-round selections, according to The Herald Sun.

The Dockers and Clark are believed to have met ahead of next week's exchange window, with the 21-year-old assessing his options to potentially return to his home state of Western Australia.

Clark is yet to officially lodge a request to Fremantle, however, should the former first-round selection look to be traded West, Geelong will be aiming to land a second-round selection at the very least.

The Dockers' dilemma is that they only hold picks 8 and 27 heading into the trade period and may have to move their selections to progress negotiations.

Fremantle are likely to land Pick 6 from Carlton should a deal for Adam Cerra land, with the Dockers then potentially splitting one of their two high selections in order to please Geelong and acquire Clark.

The Cats are currently battling to retain a number of depth players this off-season, with tall duo Darcy Fort and Nathan Kreuger believed to be of interest for rival clubs.

Collingwood are reportedly poised to land Kreuger's services, with the Magpies hoping to bolster their key-position stocks this off-season.

Fort's name has been linked to the Lions, who are looking to add support to first-string ruckman Oscar McInerney.

Geelong were able to retain emerging midfielder Quinton Narkle to a new deal however, with the 23-year-old recently signing a one-year extension.
