An AFL player and another person have reportedly been charged with rape and sexual assault counts from an offence occurring in the Geelong area.
The footballer was charged with two counts of sexual assault, one count of rape and one count of sexual assault by compelling sexual touching earlier this month, per police confirmation to the Herald Sun.

The second man, who is not an AFL athlete, was also charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of rape and one count of sexual assault by compelling sexual touching.
An AFL spokesperson said that they had been made aware of the charges and were investigating the matter further.
