The AFL's Match Review Officer has handed down three charges from Friday's game between St Kilda and Fremantle.

Saints ruckman Rowan Marshall has been charged with tripping Dockers youngster Murphy Reid, with the MRO grading the big man's actions as intentional conduct, low impact and body contact.

Had the MRO graded the impact at 'medium' or higher, Marshall would have received a suspension for the trip.

The offence has led to a $6250 fine for Marshall, who can reduce the penalty to $3750 with an early guilty plea.

Fremantle's Andrew Brayshaw has also been hit with a tripping charge, with the MRO slapping the Dockers star with a fixed financial sanction for his trip on Saint Max Hall in the second term.

Brayshaw can reduce a $1500 fine to $1000 with an early plea.

Lastly, Dockers midfielder Matthew Johnson has been charged with making careless contact with an umpire. He too can slash a $1500 penalty to $1000 with an early guilty plea.

No other players were charged from Friday's game.
