The AFL are investigating a video of Richmond superstar Dustin Martin from several years ago that surfaced on social media in the last 24 hours.

The video in question captures Martin at a bar or club and is undated, which includes footage of Martin groping a topless woman by the breast.

The AFL have revealed they are seeking further information in regards to the video, while no comment has been made by Richmond or Martin as of yet.

“We have become aware of a video posted on social media," a league spokesperson told The Herald Sun.

"We are seeking further information."

When questioned on the video on Wednesday at his weekly media conference, Richmond senior coach Damien Hardwick said he was unaware of the footage that included his three-time Norm Smith Medal winner.

Collingwood's Jordan De Goey was handed a suspended $25,000 fine by his club earlier this year following a mid-season trip to Bali, including behaviour that the Magpies 'strongly condemned'.

The video of Martin has surfaced on the eve of Richmond's finals series, which begins on Thursday night against Brisbane at the Gabba in an elimination hitout.

Martin has been named for the match after returning from multiple hamstring injuries over the past two months.
