Despite the AFL's league-wide warning about resting mass players ahead of finals, it seems clubs will be willing to risk potential fines to best prepare their squads for a premiership tilt.
With the top 10 locked in with a round remaining, every finals-qualified side will be weighing up the pros and cons of who to play for Round 24, and who to give an extra week's break.
Do minor premiers Fremantle risk messing with its form by resting key players for the Dockers' trip to Melbourne?
How does Collingwood balance bringing back some injured guns, while managing the workload of its stars?
Should Carlton sit back and rest its key players for Wildcard Round, or do the Blues need to win so they can stay in Melbourne?
These are the decisions the finals-bound coaches must make ahead of an intriguing Round 24.
Hawthorn

The Hawks need to get their spark back and regain the form that had them as one of the flag favourites a month or so ago.
Hawthorn travels to take on West Coast in Perth this weekend, a game Sam Mitchell's men should, in theory, win with ease.
However, the Hawks can't take the game lightly. If the Eagles upset the Hawks, Hawthorn could drop out of the top four and potentially even into a Wildcard Round spot in seventh.
That being the case, it would be hard to imagine Mitchell would be willing to rest any players from his side while they sit in such a precarious position in average form.
If they were to rest anyone, key defender Tom Barrass looks like a man out of sorts at the moment and could do with a week to reset.
Or potentially star veteran key forward Jack Gunston, given he has played seven games on the trot and has battled with injury this year.
