Adelaide are starting to formulate an 18-month trade plan to target local talent as they build their list towards their next finals campaign.

Tom Morris of Fox Sports is reporting that the Crows have identified four players as key targets for the upcoming trade periods as they look to rebuild their list.

Adelaide have identified Dylan Stephens and Jordan Dawson as possible targets and have long-been linked with Gold Coast young guns Izak Rankine and Jack Lukosius.

The Suns are adamant that the duo are not going anywhere as they look to avoid another mass exodus of young talent.

However, Adelaide are prepared to wait patiently for the star Suns pair. This plan from the Crows is not a quick fix, they plan on building this list the right way.

The Crows are targeting their draft class with a strong South Australian flavour as well. They are very wary of developing players and then losing them as they return to their home state.

Luke Dunstan is a name that has linked with a return to South Australia with the Saint having somewhat of a career resurgence in 2021. Dunstan was told by the Saints that he would likely not feature at AFL level this year and due to a long injury list, has revived his career.

Dunstan though is yet to sign a new deal with the Saints and could be keen for a new start.

The Crows could be set to move on some experienced talent as well with Tom Lynch being told his future is far from certain. While Matt Crouch (restricted free agent), Daniel Talia and David Mackay all uncontracted for next season.
