Adelaide star forward Ash Woodland is said to be on the radar of cross-town rivals Port Adelaide ahead of the new Priority Signing Period.

The AFL confirmed last week that the AFLW's four newest clubs will have access to signing rival players from March 1 through the PSP without trading.

Port Adelaide will be able to sign three players through the new player movement mechanism, with the South Australian club, alongside Hawthorn, Sydney and Essendon, set to wreak havoc on the rest of the competition across the next two weeks before the Sign and Trade Period opens on March 10.

After finishing in the top four for Season Seven, Adelaide will be susceptible to losing up to five players through the PSP.

One of those may be their 2022 leading goalkicker in Woodland, who could make the switch to Alberton amid interest from the Power.

According to CODE Sports, Port Adelaide have their sights on the one-time All-Australian forward as they look to swoop on more Crows talent.

Lauren Arnell was able to add Erin Phillips, Angela Foley and Justine Mules ahead of their inaugural campaign, and could add more Adelaide talent ahead of the 2023 season.

Woodland would join a stellar forward pack at the Power, who are already home to former Docker Gemma Houghton and Phillips.

A move to her third club, having begun at Melbourne before defecting to Adelaide, could see Woodland be one of two AFLW leading goalkicker winners to switch sides this off-season.

Further reports suggest Brisbane ace Jesse Wardlaw is looking to make the move to Victorian and join St Kilda ahead of the AFLW's eighth season.

The AFLW's Sign and Trade Period will run for 11 days, with the deadline set for March 20 at 3:00pm.
