Adelaide captain Chelsea Randall is set to miss between three-five weeks of football after suffering a high-grade ankle strain.

The 31-year-old suffered the injury in the final term of the Crows' loss to Brisbane on Friday night, now forced to watch at least the conclusion of the home and away season from the bench.

The Crows are set to face Geelong and St Kilda to conclude season seven, with their current fourth place standing on the ladder guaranteeing them a spot in finals football.

Head of Women's Football Phil Harper couldn't confirm that Randall would be right to feature in Adelaide's finals campaign, but said the three-time premiership player would

"Scans have shown that Chelsea suffered a high-grade ankle sprain after landing awkwardly from a marking contest," Harper said to club media.

"Chelsea will be pushing hard to be fit to play for finals and we will do all we can to support her in her rehabilitation."

Randall has played 46 games across her time in the game, including all eight this season, averaging 19.1 disposals, 4.6 tackles and 4 clearances per game.
