Adelaide captain Jordan Dawson's older brother, Jaryd, has died after going missing on Tuesday afternoon.

The death is not being treated as suspicious, with the family's privacy asked to be respected.

Dawson was last seen around 2.30pm on Tuesday, and did not made contact with anyone in his family or returned to his home in Robe (337km from Adelaide).

Jaryd's wife, Jessica, took to social media asking anyone with information to reach out.

"If anyone has seen or heard from Jaryd Dawson since around 2.30pm yesterday please, please let us know," Jessica wrote on Instagram, tagging Jaryd's mother and sister Marian Dawson and Chloe Cane.

Jaryd and Jessica have been married for two years, and recently had a child.

AFL player Dawson was absent from main training on Wednesday ahead of the club's clash on Saturday against St Kilda in front of a home crowd.

Crows coach Matthew Nicks said the Crows skipper missed the session due to personal reasons.
