The AFL Legends Game is back in 2026, and with some of the biggest names in football.
Geelong champion Joel Selwood has been named as the coach of Victoria, and will be supported by Carlton goal-kicking star Brendan Fevola as captain.
Fevola hinted at Gary Ablett Jnr and Luke Hodge's participation as part of the Vic team.
Hawthorn premiership player and Brownlow Medallist Shane Crawford is the All Stars captain, and will be coached by controversial media personality and Port Adelaide gun Kane Cornes.
Dustin Martin (Vics) and Cyril Rioli (All Stars) are Pick 1 for their respective sides.
The 2026 edition will be on Thursday August 27 at Marvel Stadium, and will be broadcasted on Channel Seven and SevenPlus.
The marquee clash returned in 2025 in front of more than 34,000 fans after a six-year hiatus, and marked the 30th anniversary of the passing of one of the game's greats from prostate cancer - E.J. Whitten - a true legend of Australian football, whom the game was played in honour of for decades.
The contest was first introduced to football in 1996 in honour of Whitten, shortly after his passing.
August 27 will be LEGENDARY. 🤩

There's been 25 matches between Victoria and the All Stars since its introduction. The Vics hold a slight advantage over the Stars, winning 13 games to 11, with one draw in 2000.
You still have time to secure your tickets if you want to attend the Marvel event. Funds raised through the Four'N Twenty Legends Game help support patient care and vital prostate cancer research collaborations at the Australian Prostate Centre.
