A number of State League players are putting their best foot forward in a bid to impress and potentially secure spots in their respective senior sides for round two.

Following a season-ending knee injury last season, Hamish Hartlett returned to help Port Adelaide secure a 25-point win over Adelaide.
Hartlett spoke to portadelaide.com.au after the game saying “The leg felt alright.”
"I landed on it a bit awkwardly early on in the game where my knee bent pretty aggressively but it settled down after about 30 seconds or so.
"Other than that, it was fine. My change of direction was good. I shanked a couple of kicks and I don’t know if it was my legs or the Burley (football)…it might have been a combination of both.”
Hartlett finished with 19 disposals and six marks.
Adelaide midfielder, Hugh Greenwood, pushed his case for a position in the senior side, slotting two goals and winning plenty of the ball - an impressive performance by Greenwood after sustaining an abdominal tendon injury in the pre-season.
Despite promising play and hard efforts, the Crows were unable to secure a win against Port as they trailed for three of the four quarters.
