Overall

Taranto can be a damaging player both in the forward line and in the midfield and was named at half-forward in the Under-18 All-Australian side.

He comes from a basketball background and has a great ability to find space with the ball and has a great engine, running a 15.9 beep test earlier this year.

One of his most impressive skills is his overhead marking. At only 186cm tall, Taranto has great confidence in the air and a brilliant ability to pluck a mark.

He enjoyed a stellar finish to the season this year, kicking four goals and collecting 23 disposals in the TAC Cup preliminary final with Sandringham, before recording 30 disposals and 11 tackles in the grand final. He averaged 27 disposals in 10 games in the TAC Cup in 2016.
