Lewis was recalled for the Elimination Final against Adelaide, slotting two majors from eight touches.
His breakout game came against Collingwood in Round 12, booting three goals from 10 possessions.
Lewis became the third Footscray VFL graduate to enter the AFL as an SSP signing. He dominated for the Footscray Bulldogs last year, playing 19 matches, including the 2025 Grand Final victory over the Southport Sharks.
"Will has made a considerable impact at AFL level in a short space of time after making the step up from VFL this year," Bulldogs footy boss Sam Power said.
"His forward nous and competitiveness have been invaluable at different stages, particularly when our forward line was challenged by injury.
"Will is a great character and has been a really strong contributor around the locker room. We look forward to that continuing in 2027."
