Liam Pickering has told SEN Breakfast that his client Daniel Wells is likely to hang up the boots come season's end.

Wells has only played 15 games with the Pies since joining from North Melbourne, having been continuously hampered by injury.

When asked whether his client will play on in 2020 Pickering replied "I dont know...I doubt it."

"I think it will probably be the end for Wellsy."

Wells is nearing a return after being sidelined with a PCL injury in his only appearance in the black and white this season in round 10 against Sydney.

Pickering revealed the 34-year-old may feature in the VFL this weekend if he gets through training this week.

Wells was a two-time Syd Barker medalist at North Melbourne before crossing to Collingwood as a free agent in 2016.
