Sydney's Luke Parker will be sweating on Match Review Officer Michael Christian's verdict today, after the Swan was reported for a bump on Hawthorn's Jarman Impey on Friday night.

The incident took place midway through the final term, as Parker tried to beat out Impey for the ball, although the Swan ended up taking his counterpart high, which saw Impey taken off under the blood rule for a cut to the head.

After the game, Parker spoke to Fox Footy about the incident, and said he was just trying to protect himself.

"I collected him pretty hard, but my view was that I tried to turn my body to protect myself as I took the ball," Parker said.

"I think I had my hands on the ball.

"I haven't watched the replay, but the main thing is he is OK.

"We'll just have to wait and see, but my view was I turned and tried to do the correct technique and take the ball and turn."

Parker will learn his fate on Saturday, when Christian releases his findings from Friday night's clash.
