Former St Kilda forward Ahmed Saad has been handed a two-match ban for bumping a runner during a Northern Football League match on the weekend.

Saad, who currently plays for West Preston-Lakeside, made contact with the opposition runner in the second quarter of their clash against North Heidelberg, before being red carded and sent off by the umpire.

Saad "reluctantly" accepted the penalty according to Roosters coach Rob Maiorana, who also said the club was "disappointed", but would move on from the incident.
