Tom Mitchell faces a possible suspension and Brownlow ineligibility for initiating high contact with Todd Goldstein behind the play.

The incident occurred in the first quarter and will be assessed by the MRP.

In other news, an unconscious Shaun Higgins was stretchered off Etihad Stadium in the third quarter following this massive hit from Hawk Ryan Burton.

Reports came through that the Kangaroo was moving his hands and feet in the rooms and ambulances were on their way. He had just become a father this morning.

In a bizarre set of circumstances, teammate Ed Vickers-Willis was also knocked out just moments after, and also had to go down to the rooms for a concussion test. It is unlikely that he will return to the game.

It had been a fiery contest between Hawthorn and North Melbourne, with another incident taking place where Cameron Zurharr was reported for bumping David Mirra into the fence.
