Former Bulldogs and Richmond coach Terry Wallace jumped on SEN on Thursday and shared his thoughts on how Geelong, Collingwood and Brisbane will go this season.

In his calculations, Wallace factors in games he believes that team will definitely win or lose, along with the 50-50 affairs.

Following Plough’s predictions, we’ve decided to add our own in predictions in below them.

Who do you think is closer to the mark?

Geelong

Terry Wallace: 15 wins

"They seem to keep on keeping on and do what they do every year. I had them on 12 outright wins, with only four definite losses along the journey, leaving them with six 50/50 games. A lot of those were in the guts of the year. That's 15 wins for the Geelong football club."

Zero Hanger: 15 wins

We have Geelong at 13 definite wins for the season. With the home ground supremacy with nine games at the Cattery, seven are definite wins, with the other two games coming against the two Sydney sides, who will be hard to beat this year.

We had them losing four games, like Wallace had, where it left them with five 50/50 games. Two of these games are against the Tigers at the G, where we saw last year they were hard to beat on the MCG. So we gave them them 15 wins in total.

Collingwood

Terry Wallace: 13 wins

"I was a little surprised with how my numbers came out. I had them on nine straight wins, five outright losses and eight 50/50's. I split the eight down the middle, which gives them 13 wins, which in most years, would have them playing finals."

Zero Hanger: 11 wins

We have Collingwood at nine outright wins like Wallace, whereas we have them at eight outright losses. With five 50/50 games, if you split them down the middle Collingwood win 11-12 games this season.

Double up matches against arch rivals Richmond, Essendon and Carlton as we know can go either way. We're going to give them 11.

Brisbane

Terry Wallace: 4 wins

"I like their direction, but I think they will play very young and it will take time to get there. I had them at two guaranteed wins. They've been dealt a really tough start of the year, when you look at their fixture early in the season, it is a nightmare for Brisbane. I had them at three 50/50 games, so I only have them on four wins for the season."

Zero Hanger: 5 wins

We predict the Lions to also struggle this season. We gave them three definite wins, as they host fellow young sides North Melbourne, Carlton and Gold Coast at the Gabba which they should win. With 16 losses that leaves them with three 50/50 games, where if they can win two of them, one of them being Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium, a five-win season awaits them.
