Two more rival AFL clubs have reportedly joined Port Adelaide in showing some level of interest in GWS free agent Harry Perryman this year.

Perryman is eligible for free agency in 2024 and has previously been tied to the Power, who are keen on the Giants defender.

The 25-year-old is one of the leading names the Giants are yet to secure to a deal beyond this year, with Perryman, Isaac Cumming, Nick Haynes and Callan Ward, among others, off-contract.

A product out of New South Wales' Riverina region, Perryman is garnering interest from South Australia, and not just the Power.

AFL Media's Callum Twomey has revealed the Crows have joined the pursuit of Perryman's services, with Adelaide to go up against their rivals for the unrestricted free agent.

Twomey has also suggested Sydney will be "a bit of a watch" in the chase for Perryman and could make a play for a member of their biggest rival.

"There's interest now from both South Australian clubs in the unrestricted free agent at the Giants," Twomey said on Gettable.

"He had a five-year deal on the table from the Giants, he's weighing up a big decision with significant interest in the market for him.

"Port Adelaide we've spoken about being one of the suitors for him. I can say Adelaide is also among the suitors for him now as well.

"Also, just a bit of a watch... Sydney is another club I'd be keeping an eye on in the Harry Perryman chase as well."

Both the Power and Crows have also been tied to Sydney free agent Will Hayward, with the Swans forward's situation potentially impacting how Perryman's future plays out should he desire a move elsewhere.

As an unrestricted free agent, the Giants won't be able to force rival bidders into a trade should they still be able to match those offers.

Sydney could look to trade for Perryman if they lose Hayward to free agency, with that move to allow the Swans to retain their free agency compensation and still secure Perryman.

Perryman has played 114 games in the orange and charcoal since making his debut in 2017, and has played across all three lines of the field during his time with the NSW club.

The defender is averaging 18.5 disposals, 5.3 marks and 3.17 rebounds 50s per game from his six appearances in 2024.
