More details have emerged about Bulldogs star Lachie Hunter's drink driving accident.

It is believed that the midfielder was driven away from the incident by young gun Bailey Smith, according to SEN.

Hunter crashed his car into four packed cars after driving under the influence of alcohol, and it was later made known that one of the cars hit was Smith's girlfriends parents car, according to AFL Media’s Mitch Cleary.

It's also been reported that Smith drove Hunter to Bulldogs forward Billy Gowers' place.

Hunter has now lost his license for 12 months and has copped a whopping $1652 fine for breaking the COVID-19 social distancing restrictions.

AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan said the actions of Hunter would not be accpeted.

“Clearly drink driving is just unacceptable in any aspect of the community, as is breaking lockdown laws,” McLachlan told 3AW.
