Richmond defender Dylan Grimes has been withdrawn from Damien Hardwick's side for Sunday's clash with Greater Western Sydney.

Grimes will be replaced by one-gamer Ben Miller in the side, with the three-time premiership Tiger having pulled up sore from a mild training session on Saturday morning.

The veteran defender will join Dion Prestia (injured), Dustin Martin (personal reasons), Jack Riewoldt (inured) and Jake Aarts (omitted) in being left out from the Round 2 clash.

Along with Miller, Kamdyn McIntosh, Matthew Parker and Thomson Dow have been named as inclusions for the match.

Grimes featured in Richmond's Round 1 defeat after overcoming a thumb injury sustained in the pre-season.

The Tigers will host the Giants at the MCG at 3:20pm on Sunday.
