Tigers defender Oleg Markov has requested a trade to the Gold Coast Suns, reports AFL Media.

The 24-year old has reportedly agreed to a two-year deal with the Suns and is likely to be one of the first trades to go through next Wednesday.

Markov has played 23 AFL games, including six this season, originally getting selected with Pick 50 in the 2015 AFL Draft.

Gold Coast have also shown interest in out-of-contract Tigers defender Nathan Brown - but he is reportedly now likely to re-sign with Richmond.

The AFL trade period runs from November 4-12.
