Jordyn Pearson is set to become the second female field umpire in AFL history on Sunday.
Pearson will debut in Melbourne's clash with West Coast on Sunday at Marvel Stadium, following Eleni Tee as the only other female field umpire to officiate a male game at the top level.
She will be umpiring with experienced officiator Matt Nicholls, Nicholas Jankovskis and Joel Clamp.

She was promoted from the rookie list to the main list of umpires ahead of the 2026 season.
Pearson has umpired more than 50 AFLW games including the season six decider and in 2024 won the AFLW Umpire Rising Star award.
"Jordyn has been incredibly consistent throughout 2024 in the VFL and AFLW seasons. Her performances across the AFLW Finals Series has shown her outstanding potential," AFL Head of Officiating Stephen McBurney said at the time.
"Her dedication to umpiring has driven her to continuously improve both on and off the field.
"We are committed to growing and developing female umpires in our elite program. This award will greatly assist in Jordyn's development as she pursues her elite umpiring career."
She is the only AFLW umpire on the competition committee.
