Richmond CEO Brendon Gale remains very confident the Tigers will retain their superstar midfielder, Dustin Martin, beyond 2017.

Martin, who is out of contract at season's end, is being chased by several clubs with big money offers, most notably, North Melbourne and Essendon.

The Roos are reportedly set to offer Martina six-year deal worth around $1 million per season, while Essendon, who have denied the rumour, reportedly have an offer of $1.6 million per season for Martin, according to SEN 's David Schwarz.

But despite the huge money being thrown at him, the Tigers are confident Martin will remain loyal to the club that drafted him with pick No.3 in the 2009 National Draft.

“We’re very confident of our position,” Gale said on Fox Footy on Tuesday night.

“Dustin is having a fine season, the team has had a strong start to the year, so there’s no distraction.

“It’s fair to say the offer is a very strong one. It’s reflective of the position he has at our club and the game — and credit to him, too.

“He is a remarkable young man and a lot of his contribution isn’t just on the field. Culturally, I think he’s been a terrific connector, he’s a terrific emerging leader as well.

“He works his butt off and credit to him. He’ll have a very strong offer that we’re very confident in.”

Martin has averaged 30 disposals per game so far this season and has kicked 16 goals in 11 games.
