Nathan Buckley, Jaymie Graham, Daniel Giansiracusa and David Hale have been confirmed to be included in North Melbourne's coaching process.
Hale has emerged as another name that has come into consideration of those determining the Kangaroos' position.
It's understood he'll present to North Melbourne's coaching panel, according to a report on AFL Trade Radio.
The Hawthorn assistant coach played for the Arden Street club, featuring in 129 games for the Shinboners as a ruck-forward. He then moved to the Hawks ahead of 2011, and played a crucial role in three premierships.
After his time at Hawthorn ended in 2015, he headed west and joined Fremantle under Ross Lyon. He coached the Dockers alongside Justin Longmuir before returning to Victoria at the end of 2021.
He's been working closely with Sam Mitchell in a variety of roles, but more recently as strategy and opposition coach.
Buckley and Graham are deemed early frontrunners to fill the void left by Alastair Clarkson, who was sacked this month.
The Collingwood champion confirmed his intention to pursue the Kangaroos role after he missed out on Melbourne and Tasmania in the past 18 months.
Buckley is an assistant at Geelong, and will return to the Cats in 2027 if he doesn't secure North Melbourne's top job.
Graham's pursuit of the Kangaroos job will ramp up after Fremantle's season came to a close.
Graham is a highly regarded assistant at the Dockers under Longmuir, and was in the running for the Carlton and Essendon roles.
Giansiracusa is another Hawthorn name that has been around the mark for a senior coaching role in recent years.
