Essendon and Brad Scott has parted ways after a terrible start to 2026, with only one win from 11 starts.
The Bombers were largely uncompetitive, and despite injury concerns during the Dreamtime at the G clash against Richmond, the loss proved to great for Scott to remain in his job.

Dean Solomon
Solomon is tipped to be the interim coach of the Bombers, and could use the remainder of the season as a runway to be a senior coach.
He looked after Gold Coast in 2017 briefly and spent nine seasons playing at the Bombers.
Solomon was on the board of Essendon before being brought into an assistant coaching role alongside Brad Scott.
