Essendon and Brad Scott has parted ways after a terrible start to 2026, with only one win from 11 starts.
The Bombers were largely uncompetitive, and despite injury concerns during the Dreamtime at the G clash against Richmond, the loss proved to great for Scott to remain in his job.

Adrian Hickmott
A highly-rated assistant coach at Hawthorn, even by Sam Mitchell, who says Hickmott is ripe for a top job.
Hickmott has spent time at Essendon and West Coast before joining the Hawks ahead of the 2022 season along with Mitchell.
He was pushed for the Eagles senior coaching role that was filled by Andrew McQualter.
