The Sydney Swans will blood youth in a bid to get their season up and running when they play reigning premiers Richmond on Sunday.

The Swans are set to bring in two debutants for the Tigers clash - No. 5 draft pick Dylan Stephens and No.39 draft pick  Chad Warner, the club announced.

Following back-to-back defeats from West Coast and the Western Bulldogs, the Swans have turned to youth to try and salvage something from what has currently been an underwhelming season.

Stephens told the club website that he is looking forward to pulling on the red and white jumper.

"It is something that I have dreamed of ever since I was a little kid, since I started playing footy, and now the day has come," Stephens told sydneyswans.com.au.

"It is an amazing feeling. Things are obviously going to be different to any other debut, which I think is a good thing and creates a bit of variation."
