The Gold Coast Suns have announced new player numbers for the 2023 season, including a slew of new recruits acquired during the offseason.

The Suns didn't do any business during free agency, however, they did nab Tom Berry and Ben Long via trades with Brisbane and St Kilda respectively, as well as snatching up top-choice draftee Bailey Humphrey and scooping up Connor Blakely and Jake Stein at the Rookie Draft.

Berry, whom Gold Coast traded Picks 25, 36, and 56 for in October, will wear No. 16 next season, while Long, acquired in exchange for Pick 32, will slot into No. 22.

Former Kangaroos midfielder Jed Anderson has been handed the No. 17 guernsey, ex-Docker Blakely will wear No. 26, and former GWS Giants key defender Stein will represent No. 42.

Gippsland Power draftee Bailey Humphrey, taken by the Suns with No. 6 at November's National Draft, will begin his Gold Coast career wearing No. 19, while Category B Rookie Lloyd Johnston will wear No. 38.

Sam Flanders, Gold Coast's No. 11 selection at the 2019 National Draft, will now don the No. 3 for the Suns as he looks to add to his 30 AFL games in his fourth season.
