Peel Thunder 19.11 (125) def. East Perth 7.6 (48)

Peel Thunder was quick out of the gates, holding East Perth goalless in the first quarter. The side remained dominant through the entirety of the match before winning by 77-points.

Mitchell Crowden and Lachie Schultz were dominant down forward for Peel Thunder. Crowden recorded a game-high tackle count of 12, whilst also gathering 27 disposals. Schultz was dangerous up forward, producing three goals from 16 disposals.

Connor Blakely added another game under his belt after returning from a serious hamstring injury that occurred during the preseason. The midfielder performed well, finishing with 31 touches and a goal.

Sean Darcy showed promising signs in the ruck, dominating East Perth’s ruckman with 42 hit-outs and 11 disposals.

Peel Thunder look to go back-to-back this week in their clash against Claremont.

South Fremantle 20.11 (131) def. West Coast 9.18 (72)

West Coast moves down to sixth position on the ladder following a 59-point loss to South Fremantle.

Brendon Ah Chee and Matthew Allen worked hard in the midfield, with Allen collecting 16 disposals, laying seven tackles and slotting two goals. Ah Chee continues to push his case for AFL selection, having not played a senior game yet. The midfielder finished with 32 touches and four tackles.

Jarrod Brander was demoted to the WAFL team but responded with class, finishing with 16 disposals and seven marks.

Keegan Brooksby was dominant in the ruck, with 37 hit-outs, 15 disposals and five tackles.

West Coast looks to redeem themselves this week when they face East Fremantle, who are also coming off a loss in round five.
