Central District 6.9 (45) def. by Adelaide 15.10 (100)

Adelaide led the way from the beginning, scoring five goals to Central Districts one in the opening quarter. Adelaide went on to score 15 goals for the match, defeating Central District by 55 points.

Bryce Gibbs was dropped from the senior side two weeks ago and has responded the only way he knows, another incredible performance in the SANFL. Gibbs pushes his case for a senior recall after collecting 32 disposals, four clearances and a goal over the weekend.

Tyson Stengle and Kieran Strachan starred down forward, booting four and three goals respectively. Ruckman Sam Jacobs also added a goal to the scoreboard along with an impressive 25 hitouts and 20 disposals.

Other notable mentions include midfield duo Riley Knight and Patrick Wilson who both finished with 28 touches, whilst Chayce Jones wasn’t far behind with 27 disposals.

Adelaide look to hold on to their spot on the top of the ladder, hoping for another win this week when they travel to face Sturt.

 

Port Adelaide 17.11 (113) def. Norwood 10.8 (68)

A tight contest in the first quarter saw seven points separate Port Adelaide and Norwood. The Magpies went on to double their score in the second quarter whilst holding Norwood to only two goals, before ultimately defeating them by 45 points.

Ollie Wines continues to work back towards full fitness following a fractured leg. He was impressive once again, collecting another 38 disposals, making it his second consecutive 30-plus disposal game. Wines also managed to secure himself a goal.

Also continuing to work back from injury is Charlie Dixon and Brad Ebert. Dixon was dangerous up forward, booting three goals from 12 disposals whilst veteran midfielder Ebert collected 22 disposals for the match and came out of the game unscathed.

Port Adelaide look to secure their third consecutive win as they come up against North Adelaide in Round 11.
