Tigers forward Jack Riewoldt is in doubt to take on the Saints this Saturday after coughing up blood during the club's round nine loss to West Coast.

“Right on the three quarter time siren, Jack Riewoldt bumped Liam Duggan as he was kicking,” Sam McClure told SEN Afternoons.

“He came off second best from that bump. He was actually coughing up blood at three quarter time.

“That caused a little bit of an issue when they were coming home.

“It meant that they had to tell Virgin Airways staff the nature of Riewoldt’s injury and then the club doctor had to have a few conversations with one of the pilots, the captain, of the flight coming home.

“Riewoldt ended up flying home business class, he was eventually cleared to fly.

“It will put him in some doubt against the Saints on Saturday.”

The 29-year old was one of Richmond's best against the Eagles, booting five goals.

The Tigers meet the Saints on Saturday afternoon at the MCG.
