St Kilda have announced a double re-signing, however, their latest retentions have come off the field in the form of assistant coach Corey Enright and development lead Damian Carroll.

The club confirmed on Thursday that both Enright and Carroll have added a further two years to their respective contracts, keeping them at Linton Street until the end of 2026.

Enright, a three-time premiership defender for Geelong, joined the Saints from the Cats ahead of the 2022 season to lead the Saints' backline group.

His wealth of experience, coupled with the return of coach Ross Lyon, has seen the Saints' rearguard emerge as one of the stingiest in the competition.

Carroll joined St Kilda in 2021 and has played a crucial role in the development of the club's emerging players in recent years.

As head of development and learning, Carroll has aided Lyon's cause for the coming seasons.

“We're thrilled to have Corey and Damian sign on for another two seasons,” St Kilda football boss David Misson said in a club statement.

“Corey's standing in the game is one that is universally respected, especially with last year's induction into the Australian Football Hall of Fame, and is someone we are incredibly fortunate to have at the club.

“With such a young list, having a coach of Damian's calibre and character is pivotal in seeing our youth maximise their potential and ultimately develop into important players for the future.

“His natural affinity for teaching and passion to help players be the best they can be - coupled with the admiration he has among the playing group - speaks volumes.

“Alongside development coaches Jake Batchelor and Lenny Hayes, Damian has created a program which we are confident will unearth more young talent to drive us forward.”

St Kilda's 2024 season will get underway against Geelong at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday, March 16.
