St Kilda is set for a very busy off-season, with many players heading in for surgery while the futures of assistant coach Corey Enright and ruckman Rowan Marshall remain in the air.

Enright, after missing out on the Carlton top job, is understood to have met with Collingwood as he weighs up his career in 2027 and beyond.

The former Cat has largely been viewed as Ross Lyon's successor as the Saints coach, but the Pies are keen to bolster their football department after many changes in the past few seasons.

"Everything's transient, and nothing's forever," Lyon said.

"We respect and work really well with Corey; he's been here five years, I think… Corey's such a good person that, at the right time, he will talk to us, whether he's going to stay. It's good that he's in demand."

Lyon was also quizzed on Marshall and his links to Geelong once again this off-season.

The Saints tall attempted to head down the highway last off-season, but was held to his contract, working in tandem with high-prized recruit Tom De Koning.

But after 12 months in the partnership, Marshall, even though he's contracted for next year, could seek another trade.

"Not something I've thought about," Lyon said.

"I've been preparing on a weekly basis. He's contracted. I know what occurred last year. I don't know what tomorrow brings."

The group braved through injury, but following the conclusion of the season, they will be sent in for some repairs.

“I haven't got them all; I think it's about eight. I think that's about standard, unfortunately,” Lyon said.

“Just on that, there's no surgery that's without risk of infection, so we're not flippant; it's important they get to it early and take as much rehab time as they can to get fit.

“It's really important, Silvagni is important, De Koning is important, but I haven't got all the nuanced detail.

“I've had that obvious stuff flagged, but there's probably a little bit floating around the edges that I need to get to with Lenny.”

The Saints will finish the 2026 season in 11th position, failing to make the finals once again. They claimed 10 wins and had a percentage of 102.8.
